Law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas starts operations

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas aims to have a nationwide footprint with offices in six major business hubs

Law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas today began operations as a new entity after the split in Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh Shroff and Company last week.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, a full service law firm run by lawyers Shardul and Pallavi Shroff, aims to have a nationwide footprint with offices in six major business hubs.

The firm will have offices at three locations in Mumbai, one in Bengaluru along with existing offices New Delhi, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.

The Management Board will comprise of Shardul Shroff, Pallavi Shroff, Gunjan Shah and Jatin Aneja (all Equity Partners) along with M Damodaran (ex-Chairman SEBI) as an Independent Member and John Handoll, Senior Advisor - European and Competition Law, as an Advisor to the Board, the law firm said in a statement.
 

It was officially announced in Mumbai last week that Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh Shroff and Company, has been amicably split between warring brothers Cyril Shroff and Shardul Shroff, by a panel of arbiters appointed by the court in November 2014.
