A leopard was found dead in a farm-well near here in Eastern Maharashtra, forest department officials said today.
The wild animal, aged around 5 years, fell into the farm well at village Alesur under Bramhapuri Forest Division in the district last night, Deputy Conservator of Forests Ashish Thakre said.
The well had parapet wall but the feline might have failed in its attempt to cross the water body and fell in it, he said.
