Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, KPCC president M M Hassan and Indian Union Muslim League leader P K Kunhalikutty were among those who took part in the meeting.

Meanwhile, Chennithala said the parents of Shuhaib, the slain leader, also demanded a CBI probe into their son's murder and he had sent their representation in this regard to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Law Minister A K Balan, who chaired an all-party meeting called by the government in the wake of the killing here yesterday, had said that the state government was prepared to hold any probe into the sensational murder and action would be taken against all accused irrespective of their political affiliations.
