Press Trust of India Chennai
: Visually challenged music composer Afzal Yusuff says his upcoming movie 'Mylanji Monjulla Veedu' is a "big project" .

"It is a mass film and I am happy that I got a chance such a big project after the Mammootty starrer 'Immanuel'. I have composed three songs in the movie which is due for release late this month," he told PTI.

In 'Immanuel', released last year, he composed the music and did the background score as well.

Jayaram, Asif Ali, Kaniha and Meera Nandan play the lead roles in the movie directed by Benny Thomas. The script is by Udaykrishna and Sibi K Thomas.

Two songs--'Wahida' and 'Thammil Thammil'-- have gone viral and the official teaser of the movie has also been released, he said.

'Wahida' is rendered by Shreya Ghoshal and Ranjith and picturised on Asif Ali, Meera Nandan and Kaniha while the lyrics are by Rafeeque Ahmed," he said.

"The other song, 'Thammil Thammil' has Najim Arshad, Vijay Yesudas, Sitara and Arun Alat crooning," he said.

Both are melodies, he added.

National award winning composer Bijibal has done the background score.

Appreciating Shreya Ghosal and Ranjith for their 'soulful' singing, he said Shreya is rendering such a song after four years. She had done a similar song 'Kizhakku Pookkum' in the 2010 Prithviraj starrer 'Anwar'.

That composition had a huge response and 'Wahida' is also certain to get the same kind of response the way things are going, he said. "Wahida has already received over 20,000 hits on 'YouTube' since its release on November 13."

He has Fahad Fazil-starrer 'Cartoon' lined up as the next project. 'Looking forward to it', he added.
