Pseudoephedrine tablets worth about Rs three crore in the international market and over 85-kg Pangolin scales valued at Rs 51.24 lakh were seized by the Customs department sleuths here.
The sleuths raided a house in the Beltola area and recovered 144.2-kg of pseudophedrine tablets and the scales of the endangered animal, Customs department sources told PTI.
One person hailing from Mizoram living in the house and suspected to be a carrier of smugglers was taken into custody during the raid, the sources said.

The pseudoephedrine tablets, which were stored in plastic bags, had come from north India while the scales were from south India which is the habitat of pangolins.
The scales were to be smuggled out through Mynamar to China, where it is in demand for medicinal use, and the tablets through Mynamar to south east Asia for being sold in the grey market, they said.
Interrogation and investigations into the seizure is on.
Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant used to treat nasal and sinus congestion.
