The third edition of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) will see Greco-Roman grapplers in action for the first time, in addition to freestyle wrestling, when the season commences in the first week of January next year.
Apart from Olympic style Greco-Roman format, the third season of the League might also see more innovations like neon clothing.
"Greco Roman style of wrestling was introduced in first summer Olympics of 1896 and India has a rich past at the international level with first significant performance (gold medal) at 1962, Jakarta Asian Games.

"Therefore, the inclusion of Olympic style Greco-Roman format is a historic move that will take it to a notch above," Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, said.
The previous editions of PWL have witnessed a significant number Olympians taking part.
Top Indian and international players are expected for the third edition also as it is expected to provide them good preparation for the Commonwealth and Asian Games.
