South Indian Writers' Ensemble to be held in Kasaragod

The fourth edition of the South Indian Writers' Ensemble (SIWE), a much awaited literary festival, will be held in Kasaragod on July 24.

Noted Tamil poet Salma would inaugurate the SIWE-2016, which is envisaged as a celebration of literature with writers from various South Indian languages.

Besides Salma, Tamil writers Damayanthi, Isai, Devi Bharathi and Kannada writers Dr Na Mogasale, U Maheswari, Dhanajay Kumble and Thulasi Venugopal are among those who are expected to participate in the one-day event, the organisers said.

Malayalam writers T P Rajeevan, Anwar Ali, V M Girija, K Rajagopal and A C Sreehari would also take part in the programme, they added.
 

People for Performing Arts and More, an art-cum-cultural outfit, is organising the annual writers' meet.
