An adult male Royal Bengal tiger was today found dead from the forests of Sundarbans in West Bengal, forest department officials said.
During patrolling a tiger lying still in the Sajnekhali forest was found, they said, adding that when they went closer they realised that the animal is dead.
No external injury marks were found from the body of the large cat but blood was spotted on its nose and mouth, they said.
The death could have happened due to heart attack, they said, adding that a post-portem would be done tomorrow.
