Wind turbine maker Suzlon today unveiled a 120-metre high turbine, which the company claimed is the tallest in the world.
The conventional turnbine is 90-metre tall.
Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel inaugurated the turbine here. She said: "We are inviting suggestions on using renewable energy sources and reducing dependence in thermal power."

"This turbine will help in 12-15 per cent higher energy generation at the same spot," Suzlon Group Chairman Tulsi Tanti told reporters here.
The company's wind farm at Kutch has crossed 1,000 MW generation mark.
"In the next 3-4 years, the 2,000 MW capacity will be completed," Tanti said.
He added that the company will continue to have 40 per cent share in the wind energy market. At present, the total wind power capacity in the country is about 21,000 MW.
Tanti added that approximately 3,500 MW wind capacity will be added in 2015-16.
