Packaging company Uflex today reported an increase of 37.86 per cent in its consolidated net profit to Rs 78.68 crore for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2015.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 57.07 crore for the October-December quarter in the year-ago period, Uflex said in a BSE filing.
However, its consolidated net sales were down by 1.43 per cent to Rs 1,461.32 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 1,482.60 crore in corresponding period last fiscal.

The company further informed that work for its aseptic packaging plant at Sanand, Gujarat is underway in full swing.
"With this plant for packing liquid products going commercially operational in early 2017, Uflex will complete its entire product bouquet of flexible packaging solutions which currently covers solids, semi-solids, viscous fluids, pastes, gels, powders, granular material etc," the company said.
Shares of Uflex today settled at Rs 168.30 per scrip on BSE, down 3.77 per cent from previous close.
