About 150 teachers of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology here staged a token dharna on the second day today protesting against the implementation of biometric attendance system.
Guru Jambheshwar University Teachers Association (GJUTA) termed the state government decision to implement biometric attendance for teachers of universities as "anti-academic and anti-teacher" and said it will not be allowed to be implemented under any circumstances.
Marking attendance of teachers for improving efficiency is uncalled for and ill-placed, a GJUTA leader said.
