"Many states like Karnataka and Rajasthan are interested to get the project. But, we have not talked to anyone," Vedanta Group's chief Agarwal said after meeting Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
"Who will not be interested in the Rs 10,000 crore education project like this?" Agarwal asked.
Describing the proposed university as a 'think tank' project, Agarwal said 10,000 students will study in the research oriented institute.
Asked whether the company will revive the project, Agarwal said he would like to do so after legal hurdles were removed.
"Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is an educationist himself and he has vision. Therefore, he wanted a Harvard like university in his state and we are prepared to fund Rs 5,000 crore," he said.
