A youth, believed to be 25-year old, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a drain in Indirapuram area here this morning.
"As per preliminary investigations, it seems the youth was drunk and fell into the drain which may have led to his death," police said.
They, however, added "there is no injury marks on his body. We are also investigating if he was murdered before he was thrown into the drain."
The body had been sent for post mortem to ascertain the exact cause of the death, police said.
The youth was found dead by a passer-by, they said.
