Amul aims for Rs 50,000 cr turnover by 2020
GCMMF to invest Rs 5,000 cr for setting up 10 plants to boost processing capacity from 230 lakh ltrs per day (LLPD) to 320 LLPD by 2020

“We plan to touch a Rs 50,000 crore turnover by 2020. We are investing around Rs 5,000 crore in setting up ten new plants as well as expand capacity at our existing plants. Our current processing capacity is around 230 lakh litres per day (llpd), we aim to take it up to 320 llpd by 2020,” said RS Sodhi, managing director, GCMMF.
Of the new plants planned, that would come up within the next two to three years, two would be in Delhi, three in Uttar Pradesh, one each in Kolkata and Maharashtra and the rest in Gujarat. GCMMF at present has over 50 processing plants across the country.
