ImagesBazaar to foray in celebrity stock visuals

After creating the world's largest bank of Indian visuals, ImagesBazaar is now foraying into celebrity stock. Having already built a stock of over one million images and videos of Indian visuals, ImagesBazaar is eyeing the growing demand for celebrity visuals among industries.

"Corporates and their advertising agencies alike require celebrity visuals for branding and marketing purposes of their products and services. Hence, we are going to now build a stock of celebrity visuals. Once established, the celebrity visuals stock will push our revenue from current Rs 30 crore to Rs 100 crore in next three years," said Sandeep Maheshwari, founder and chief executive officer, ImagesBazaar.

Launched in 2006 with 8000 images shot by 25 photographers, ImagesBazaar has gone on to develop a team of 60 professionals on Tuesday.

Currently, the company has over 7000 clients in more than 45 countries using images and videos for advertising and marketing communication.

"Though it is still at a nascent stage, the Indian visuals stock industry is on Tuesday pegged at Rs 50 crore. Soon, in next three years it would be about Rs 130 crore. Even ImagesBazaar's business volume has touched Rs 30 crore this fiscal as against just over Rs 45 lakhs four years ago," said Maheshwari.

The company offers paid stock of Indian visuals to clients and users, with prices ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 64,000. On an average, ImagesBazaar.com receives about 2.5 million page views per month, Maheshwari added.
