Four devotees, including three women died and several more were injured in a stampede here on Wednesday night as hundreds of them jostled for tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple on Tirumala Hills, a police official said.
Hundreds of devotees turned up from across the country for the 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam commencing from January 10.
"Three women and a man died in the stampede," the official confirmed to PTI.
Meanwhile, videos of police administering CPR on a couple of woman devotees and injured persons being shifted in ambulances went viral.

Markets regulator Sebi on Wednesday said it has issued guidelines on the regulatory framework for research analysts and investment advisers to bolster investor protection and ensure transparency.
These guidelines came after the regulator notified the research analyst (RA) rules and investment adviser (IA) norms in December last year.
The new norms encompass qualification standards, fee structures, deposit requirements, and client segregation protocols.
The regulator introduced fresh compliance mandates, particularly for entities utilising artificial intelligence (AI) tools in their services.
Under the revised framework, Sebi said research analysts are required to maintain a deposit based on their client base, ranging from Rs 1 lakh for up to 150 clients to Rs 10 lakh for over 1,000 clients.
These deposits aim to provide additional security for investors.
Also, investment advisers are mandated to follow a graded deposit system tied to client numbers.

A delegation of leaders on Monday met Maharashtra governor C P Radhakrishnan and demanded the removal of Minister Dhananjay Munde from the state cabinet, to ensure a fair probe into the murder of Beed sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh.
Leaders, including BJP MLA Suresh Dhas, submitted a memorandum to the governor at Raj Bhavan, urging him to take decisive action to uphold the rule of law and public confidence in the justice system.
Deshmukh, sarpanch of Massajog village in Beed district, was abducted, tortured and murdered on December 9, apparently because he tried to thwart an attempt to extort money from an energy firm operating a windmill project.
Police have so far arrested seven persons in connection with the murder case.
Walmik Karad, an associate of Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Dhananjay Munde, has been arrested in the extortion case.

Tata Group-backed Indian Hotels Company on Thursday said it is "well poised" to achieve the portfolio of 700 hotels by 2030 under its "Accelerate 2030" strategy.
The country's largest hospitality firm currently has 360 hotels under its portfolio, including 237 operational and 123 hotels in the pipeline.
"IHCL is well poised to achieve its goal of a 700 hotel portfolio under its strategy - Accelerate 2030," the company said.
IHCL also said it executed "85 signings and 40 openings in 2024".
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President - Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, "In line with IHCL's strategy Accelerate 2030, the growth continues to be focused on capital light, accounting for 75 per cent of the year's signings."
