The bench said if not for the Madhya Pradesh HC it would have directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to issue certificate to the movie today itself
The plea claimed that the censor board was ready with the certificate but was not issuing it apprehending law and order unrest after the movie's release
She then alleged that bodies were hanging and rapes were taking place during the farmers' protests against the now-repealed three farm laws

Kangana Ranaut-directed Emergency movie's release date has been postponed indefinitely. Previously, the movie was scheduled to release in theatres on September 6, 2024
