Who is Ram Niwas Goel

Ram Niwas Goel is the speaker in the Sixth Delhi Legislative Assembly since 2015. A member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Goel represents the Shahdara constituency of Northeast Delhi.

 

Born on January 5, 1948, in Haryana, Goel completed secondary education in Haryana, senior secondary education from Gandhi Memorial School in Shahdara, and then got a Bachelors of Commerce degree from Hans Raj College of the Delhi University (DU) in 1971. He also passed the ICWA (Inter) examination.

 

Goel was first elected as an MLA from the Shahdara Assembly constituency in the First Legislative Assembly of Delhi in 1993, contesting the election
