M C Pandey spent over six years after graduation looking for a job that is challenging and rewarding. he received numerous offers, but he did not find any of them really suiting him.

At the end of the job hunt, Pandey, a commerce graduate from the Gujarat University, set up M V Omni Enterprise, a sole proprietorship firm engaged in contract job for the telecom department, in 1995.

"M V Omni Enterprise has been making profits since the first year of its operation. We achieved a turnover in excess of Rs 20 lakh in 1995-96, which grew over Rs 35 lakh in 1996-97 and exceed over Rs one crore in 1997-1998. The sole proprietorship firm has been converted into M V Omni Projects India Ltd and the turnover of the company was over Rs 25 crore in the last financial year," said Pandey.

At present, the company is engaged in businesses including setting up gas distribution network for Indraprasth Gas Ltd and GAIL India.

The company is also engaged in setting up and optical fiber network from telephone exchanges to subscribers' premises for the Bharat Sanchar Nigam. The company has recently ventured into development of various infrastructure projects.

Pandey ventured into film production by creating MVS Production, a subsidiary of M V Omni Projects, to launch its maiden movie 'Dil Bechara Pyar Ka Mara' in August this year.

The movie is expected to hit the theatres early August this year. The movie was made with an investment of over Rs four crore.

"The movie will be a profitable venture for us. At M V S Productions, our target will be to release at least one movie every year. We are also planning to sell the movie overseas," said Pandey.

Pandey loves to read and spends time with his family whenever he is free. He attributes his success to his family and younger brother V C Pandey.

And what is the secret behind his success? He says it is hard work and luck.
