Truth be told, this projector is meant for watching movies. But that doesn't stop it from being a good option for projecting matches. I watched a few matches of the UEFA Champions League and the English Premier League on this projector.

The W2000 has three HDMI ports, so in case you want to showcase your own skills on FIFA 16 and PES 2016 during half-time, one just needs to flick a button to select your console as the source. Plus, there are various picture modes to suit your needs, as well as a 3D mode - but for that you'll need to buy the optional 3D glasses. The projector works best when mounted on the ceiling, which will also keep you away from the heat it generates.

This projector, again, is meant for offices and presentations. But the fact that it's portable and has a short throw distance makes it a perfect choice to carry it wherever the party is. I watched the Champions League final on this one - and it was akin to watching it on a 65-inch TV.

It is easy to set up: Just look for a wall, a table right in front of it and a video and power source. It can also connect to your home network wirelessly and can pull media off the server. A caveat: There's only one HDMI port and it works best when connected to a sound bar.

F&D T388 Sound-Bar

If you want the big stadium sound in your home, but don't plan on getting a 5.1-channel system, this sound bar could help you out. In fact, the sound bar is as light as the sub-woofer is heavy. Blessed with analogue, coaxial and digital inputs, as well as USB and Bluetooth connectivity options, it connects wirelessly to the sub-woofer. A remote keeps everything at your fingertips.

This sound bar was connected to the projector while I watched the Champions League final. I heard every kick, every thump of the ball as if I was sitting right next to the football field. Is is quite loud and you wouldn't want to crank up the volume, especially in the dead of night. Understandably, it is heavier on bass, so you may want to switch off the sub-woofer while watching the news.

Portronics Thunder Soundbar

This one likes to keep things simple. With coaxial, aux, USB and Bluetooth inputs, this heavy sound bar can be placed on a table below the TV as, despite its size, it offers a lot of thump.

While I got to hear the ambience and the thump of the ball during the matches, this drowned out the commentary at times.

There's a remote that lets you control everything from the couch, but it plays hookey sometimes. I had to get up a number of times to adjust the volume using the controls on the console. Overall, this is a sound bar you'd like if you want bass-heavy music and big sound from the football field, without too much focus on commentary.
