The Worldwide Immigration Consultancy Services (WWICS), to protect the general public from the malfeasance of impostors and fly-by night immigrations operators mushrooming in the country, has brought out a booklet on immigration. |
In a press statement, B S Sadhu, chairman and managing director, said that the booklet provides broad parameters for the people to check the authenticity of the immigration company before engaging them and thereby protect themselves from any fraud. |
Sadhu pointed out that it was particularly people from the rural areas who were misguided through claims in advertisements and literature that include the ability to represent to the visa authorities, claims on pre and post landing services, placement assistance etc. |
He illustrated that there were many immigration companies in Tamil Nadu offering services for settling down in Canada out of which only few had registered with the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC). |
He reiterated that the need to bring out the booklet was two-fold "" one to make the general public aware and secondly, to protect the professional immigration consultants from the disrepute being brought to the entire immigration industry. |
People who want to immigrate will have to check whether immigration companies have been registered with OSIC for UK, MARA for Australian immigration, NAZMI for New Zealand and also be a registered certified practioner for providing immigration services for USA. |
Copies of the booklet can be had from any of the offices of WWICS, as well as through electronic mail. |
