Business Standard journalists Sayantani Kar and Byravee Iyer have won the Dr Ram Tarneja Award, conferred by the All India Management Association (AIMA), for the best article of 2009 in Indian Management, the AIMA journal published.
The winning article, Bharat Rescues India Inc, which appeared in the April issue, was about rural demand helping companies tide over the demand slump in cities. The award was given by Home Minister P Chidambaram and RPG Enterprises Vice-Chairman Sanjiv Goenka, who is also AIMA's president, in New Delhi on Monday.
