There is something magical about the Himalayas that is hard to put into words. It would be a struggle, for example, for us to describe to you just how magnificent they are.

The only thing for us to do would be to drag you into a car, drive to Kausani, point to the mountains and say "There! That's what we mean!". Since we can't actually do any of that, the next best thing would be for you to leap into your own car and head to Kausani, where you can be struck dumb by the awe"�inspiring views.

It's also a very peaceful little town and ideal for a relaxing weekend. The ridge at Kausani has a number of hotels from where you can look at the mountains.

Kausani is approximately 400 km from Delhi via Almora and the route is extremely picturesque. Hotel Krishna Mount View (Ph: 05969"�245008, Rs 900 onwards) affords the best views of the ranges.
