Tired of the long queues at check-in? Well, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines have just made the process a little more convenient for you. |
At Singapore's Changi airport, all you need is your e-ticket or your frequent flyer (KrisFlyer) card or your credit card, you can check-in at any of the airline's 14 auto check-in counters, choose your seat and collect your boarding pass. The German carrier's gone one step ahead. |
Now you can book, check-in and print your boarding pass from your home or office PC by accessing the airline's website www.lufthansa.com. And the process gets even simpler if you are travelling light. |
In case you're carrying only hand baggage, you can make your way directly to the security check area. |
For those of you travelling with luggage, at most Lufthansa stations there'll be separate baggage acceptance desks to check-in your baggage quickly and conveniently. Currently, the facility will be available on all flights between Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Berlin, Cologne and Hanover. |

Credible crediting |
Worried about revealing your credit card details to a call centre employee while booking your air ticket? Well, Air Deccan has now installed an interactive voice response system (IVR) that will record your credit card details as you make the transaction. |
The airline has introduced the Credit Card Masking System, an enhanced security system, at its call centre where about 10 per cent of its total bookings happen. |
Using this system, credit card payments can now be made through IVR instead of the call centre agent. The IVR will procure the credit card details without any manual interaction, allowing an even more secure transaction. Happy? |
