After the launch of the new Skoda Octavia in Europe comes this, the Octavia Estate, which offers more loading space. The front and rear passenger space remains the same as in the sedan. |
Available in the same Classic, Ambiente and Elegance trims, the Estate will be unveiled at the Mondial de l'Automoile in Paris this month. The engine line-up is identical to the three-box version: three petrol units (1600cc, 1600cc FSI and 2000cc FSI) and two diesels (105 bhp 1900cc TDI PD and 140 bhp 2000cc TDI PD). When can we have it in India, then? |

Suzuki Motor Corporation's Indonesian subsidiary, PT Indomobil Suzuki International, has started production of an all-new All Purpose Vehicle, which goes on sale in that country next month. |
|
According to Suzuki, the APV has been developed as a 'global strategy model' and will be exported to ASEAN and other countries. About 70,000 units are expected to be produced annually. The APV line-up includes an eight-seater passenger van, a commercial van and a pick-up truck to be branded as Carry. |
|
Unlike the Versa, which has rear sliding doors, the APV passenger van will have hinged doors at the rear. It will be powered by two inline-four SOHC engine variants: a 1500cc and a 1600cc. Will it come to India? Someday, we expect. |
