The Taj Leisure Hotels group has announced the launch of the 'Taj Holidays' brand today with holiday packages to Rajasthan, Goa and Kerala. |
Although the group of leisure hotels has been offering these holiday packages since approximately the last seven years, this time it is tying up with almost all airlines to support the plans. |
Addressing a press conference, Deepak Khullar, head of sales, Taj Leisure Hotels, said, "We are in negotiations with almost all domestic airlines for our travel packages and the rates of the respective flight charges will be out in a week's time." |
Deepika Godsay, brand manager, Taj Leisure Hotels said, "We had alliances with some airlines earlier. But this time the tie-ups with the airlines are basically for the apex and the super-apex fares." |
"This apart, for the first time we are also rewarding advance booking offers with a one-night free stay. This offer will be valid for bookings made 30 days in advance or prior to the date of check-in and only for stays between May 1 and June 15, 2005," Godsay said. Taj's summer holiday offer is valid from May 1 to September 30, 2005. |
According to Godsay, the most popular destinations in India are Goa and Rajasthan. "Travellers from Mumbai and Delhi have been the most receptive to such packages although cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai too are catching up," she added. |
The hotel group has increased the package rate by between five and ten per cent. Its ad spend in this regard too has increased substantially. |
