His willow is yet to fire in on-going Indian Premier League but his side has already qualified for the semifinals and Delhi Daredevils skipper Virender Sehwag seemed desperate to find his form back ahead of the last four stage of the tournament.
Although Daredevils have been the most consistent team in this year's IPL, Sehwag and his opening partner Gautam Gambhir are yet to make any significant contributions with the bat.
But Sehwag feels it was just a matter of time before both he and Gambhir started scoring and if that happened it would be a bonus for his team.
"Our openers (Gautam Gambhir and I) flopped but AB de Villiers and Dilshan batted well again. They played sensibly and according to plan to take us to 150," Sehwag said after his side's 14-run victory over Rajasthan Royals last night.
"I hope I will get runs in next couple matches that we have to play before the semifinal. And if Gautam and I manage to find our form, that will be bonus for our team," he said.
Sehwag also patted his bowlers who produced a clinical performance to to tie Rajasthan down to 136 for nine.
"Amit (Mishra), (Ashish) Nehra and others bowled well after the hard work done by de Villiers, Dilshan and Karthik. I am happy we won the match. We wanted to build a winning momentum before the semifinals," he said.
