Between the two cars, we suggest you go for the Accent in terms of fuel economy, reliability and cost of maintenance. If you are extremely particular about fuel consumption, only then you should go for an LPG aftermarket fitment. If you are not particular about the warranty, well, there is no issue then. Ensure you have the conversion done at an authorised centre, though. Short call I am planning to buy my second car after a 1998 Maruti 800. I have short listed the Ford Fiesta, Suzuki SX4 and the Mahindra Renault Logan, in that order. My budget is Rs 5 to 7 lakh and the car will be self-driven. As I am a short person, I am confused as to which one of these will suit me best. First cut I am a first time car buyer. My budget is around Rs 5 lakh. I am looking for a car, irrespective of the manufacturer, which is low on maintenance, fuel efficient, feature-rich and safe. Is there any car that suits my criteria?

While the SX4 VXi version and the Fiesta 1.4 fit into your budget, the better versions of both cars are the ZXi and the 1.6 respectively. The Fiesta 1.4 will be more fuel efficient than the 1.6 version and is a decent performer. The Logan is a perfect fit in your budget. Between the three cars, the Logan seems to be more in tune with your requirements as it is a tall car with tall seating that should be comfortable for you to drive. The SX4 also features tall seating, but the A-pillar will mar your visibility. The Fiesta features conventional architecture, so the seating is a bit low. Test-drive the Logan and go for any of the three engine options that suit you best.Rupesh Gadua, Bolangir
You should check out either the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R or the Zen Estilo, which are fuel efficient, reliable and low on maintenance. Both cars also come with ABS and driver
