Hotel sets up huge screen to lure soccer lovers

Soccer World Cup means ecstatic times for Kerala's football fans. And, hotels in the state are gearing up for the big event as the football extravaganza gets nearer.

Prominent among them is the Thiruvanathapuram-based Muthoot Plaza which will join the FIFA World Cup fever by offering soccer enthusiasts a chance to watch it live at its roof-top.

In order to host the best viewing of the 64-match tournament, the venue has been tailor-made to meet every participant's expectations, according to the hotel authorities.

A huge screen, with state-of-the-art 25,000 PMPO surround sound audio, has been put in place. This apart, the hotel plans to offer an array of fast-food delicacies as well. Further, a DJ will play different tracks throughout the game, Muthoot Plaza said in a release.

According to Ghulam Samdani, general manager, Muthoot Plaza, the hotel, in anticipation of the huge interest from guests and residents, has decided to have this World Cup soccer offer.

Muthoot Plaza's soccer extravaganza will kick-off on June 9 and the matches will be showcased every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this month.

The hotel also plans to undertake private booking, provided there are a minimum of 20 fans, the release said. The matches from the quarter finals to the finals will be showcased daily, it added.
