The recently announced nominations for the '74th Golden Globe Awards' is paving the biggest path to La La Land and Moonlight with almost the same number of nods.
The Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone starrer musical romance netted seven nominations while the coming-of-age drama Moonlight was nominated in six categories, reports The Telegraph.
British nominees totalled 17 across film and television, including Hugh Grant for Florence Foster Jenkins, Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston for BBC's The Night Manager, Dev Patel for Lion, Andrew Garfield for Hacksaw Ridge and Riz Ahmed for the HBO mini-series The Night Of.
In the 'Best Actress' and 'Best Drama' category, Game Of Thrones and Netflix's Stranger Things found mention while notable snubs in the film category include Clint Eastwood's Sully and Martin Scorsese's religious epic Silence - both the films are nominated.
Meryl Streep had previously been announced as this year's recipient of the 'Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award'.
