Power and energy storage company Luminous Power Technologies today announced its tie-up with the Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians for the upcoming Twenty20 cricket tournament in South Africa.

The Delhi-based power company would be associated as official 'power partners' of the Mumbai Indians and the tie-up would involve 360 degree marketing campaigns featuring team's top three players -- Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan.

"The initiative would involve a TV commercial featuring Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan, besides a series of brand promotion activities," Luminous Power Technologies Director Sunil Bhalla told PTI.

He said the company would activate above-the-line and below-the-line promotions using traditional and in-ground advertising and marketing campaigns associated with the IPL.

"The tie-up with the Mumbai Indians as their official partners in our first ever association with any IPL team. It offers both our company and the team a mutually beneficial platform," Bhalla said.

The agreement between Luminous and Mumbai Indians is for a period of one year, which can be extended till 2012 by mutual consent, he added.
