Tony Navarro, Greg Norman's long-time caddie, will begin working for the latest Aussie sensation, the 24-year-old Adam Scott later this month. Navarro, who has been with Norman since 1992, will be with the Shark one last time at the BMW Asian Open in Shanghai later this month.

Navarro has worked with some big stars like Raymond Floyd, Ben Crenshaw, Keith Fergus, Hal Sutton and Jeff Sluman.

"Tony is one of my closest friends," said Norman on his website and then added, "As a player I'm giving up one of my greatest assets, but as a friend I know this is the best thing for both him and Adam... " Navarro has been on Norman's bag for many of his greatest moments in the game, including Norman's 1993 British Open Championship.

Tiger's ex-caddie for Wie

Michelle Wie, the 14-year-old Hawaiian prodigy, who has been the hot topic through the first half of this season, has hired Mike 'Fluff' Cowan, the former caddie of Tiger Woods. He will be on the bag for Wie, when she tees up for the $2 million LPGA Michelob Ultra Open.

Wie joins women's world number one Annika Sorenstam and a host of top Asian players led by South Korea's defending champion Grace Park as title contenders.

Cowan caddied for Woods when the American superstar won his first major at the 1997 Masters, and handled duties for three years before Woods dropped him. Cowan now caddies for US Open champion Jim Furyk, who is out of action with a wrist injury.

Lawrie changes coach

Paul Lawrie, the last European golfer to win a major championship, has changed his coach. He has broken off with his long-term coach Adam Hunter and has begun to work with Claude Harmon, the son of Butch, who teaches near Edinburgh.

Lawrie gave Hunter a lot of credit for his success at Carnoustie in 1999 and said that parting company with Hunter was a very difficult decision. Lawrie had at the start of the season changed his caddie and started work with sports psychologist Jos Vanstiphout at the Masters.

But results continued to be poor. And now comes the change in coaches. Harmon, married to a Scot, lives in Glasgow and also coaches Trevor Immelman, the promising South African.
