Cricket match between India and Pakistan is always a crowd puller. The fourth one-dayer, to be played at the Motera Stadium here on April 12, is no different.

All star hotels in the city have been booked one month in advance and many are declining to entertain any further bookings.

"Since both the teams are staying with us, all the 91 rooms have been booked along with our regular corporate bookings," Sekhar Walwalkar, general manager, Hotel Taj Residency Ummed said. "There are no rooms available for the next couple of days."

The star hotels in the city offer 550 rooms and all are fully booked. "We are receiving lots of enquiries from India and abroad, but since all the rooms have been booked well in advance, we had to decline further bookings. Most of the rooms have been booked by groups in India and other European countries," said Joseph Dicosta, general manager, Le Meridien Ahmedabad.

Similarly, the four star hotels such as Cama Hotel and Hotel Fortune Land Mark have been booked in advance.

"We have a total of 96 rooms, out of which 10 are under maintenance. All the remaining 86 rooms have been booked in advance. So we are not able to take any further booking till April 13," said Arijit Laha, assistant manager, front office, Hotel Fortune Land Mark.
