The cover of this business primer by a couple of professionals is not as dramatic as a stormy Rembrandt painting that risk managers are so fond of, but the grid pattern assures you of a book structure designed for ready reference. This book is methodical, and thus informative even to the lay reader. Being functional, however, need not mean being arid. The authors quote Mark Twain, Henry Ford and others on beauty, risk and insurance, before going into the technical details of "Product Liability", "Fidelity Guarantee Policy" and much else. The long departed Lord Leverhulme makes his presence felt too, through a quip made long ago on the advertising budget. Half of all insurance expenditure is wasted""but you don't know which half.
