The Santoni AMG Racing Force LDA204, to give you its full name, is as cool as some of the finest AMGs. The only bit we can complain about is the absence of gull-wing doors!

What goes into it?

A lot of hand-made hard work, that’s what. These shoes are FIA approved for use in motorsports, so if you manage to get your hands on these, you’re as lucky as, say, Michael Schumacher. Made from the finest leather and suede, the AMG shoes are built to last and boast of immense comfort. The best part is you could slip them on even for casual use!

ADIDAS PORSCHE DESIGN SPORT RACE EDITION PILOT

This is the first of the ‘Made in Germany’ shoes by Porsche Design Sport. The Pilot is more of a road-racing shoe, which means it isn’t as hardcore as the AMG pair, but is still a very focused driving shoe.

What goes into it?

The Pilot is designed to be like a GT car — it’s more about endurance than short bursts of adrenaline, which means the focus is more on driving comfort. It has a heel and collar padding, so long jaunts won’t tire your feet and the outsole too is made of shock absorbing rubber. If you’re looking at an everyday shoe from the trio, we think the Pilot is your best bet.
