For the team of Oscar-favourite "Slumdog Millionaire" being on the 'red carpet' of the 81st Annual Academy Awards here is an "unbelievable moment".

Dressed for the occasion in tuxedos and beautiful frocks, the two 'Salims' and two 'Latikas' were visibly excited to be present at Hollywood's greatest awards night.

"Bohat achcha lag raha hai," 10-year-old Azhar Mohammed Ismail, who hails from a Mumbai slum and plays youngest Salim said.

Tanay Chheda, who plays the middle Jamal, translated the host's questions in Hindi for Ismail, who said he did not know English.

Chheda summed up for everyone and said "it is unbelievable, it feels really good."

From answering questions about what they were wearing to how it feels to be on the red carpet, the children excitedly waived.
