This car was designed by none other than Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign-Giugiaro. Surprised? Well, meet China's first all-indigenous automobile, the Zhonghua. The moniker is perhaps appropriate, meaning China in Chinese.
The car follows the standard four-door notchback pattern and is about 4,880 mm long, with what looks like enough space for four to five passengers.
While little is known about the engine, reports suggest a fuel consumption of around 6.5 litres for every 100 km and a top speed of 190 kph.

But this does not represent Italdesign's first Chinese project though, the firm had worked on a full-size MPV back in 1997, a vehicle reportedly still under development.
And guess who's backing the project?.
The Zhonghua is backed by BMW. BMW had signed a "Technical Support Agreement" some time back with Brilliance China Automotive Holdings, who are the current market leaders, with a minibus manufactured under license from Toyota.
Under the agreement, BMW is expected to play a role in the production and launch of the car, with prices ranging from Rs 8,51,405 to Rs 14,19,071.
Deliveries are expected to begin later this year. Even more importantly, the Zhonghua is BMW's first qualified step into the Chinese auto market.
