Held at New Delhi's Park Hotel this Sunday, a total of 94 lots, including rare albums of artists, calendars, song books, 17th century Calico prints and Bollywood memorabilia went under the hammer. Of this, 73 or 78 per cent of the lots got sold, touching a total sale of Rs 81 lakh. |

An album of 25 paintings by Bengal artists, such as Jamini Roy, Nandalal Bose and Asit Haldar fetched Rs 18 lakh. Besides, 55 editions of Marg magazine, published between 1946 and 2003, were sold for Rs 4.3 lakh. |

A set of 40 lithographs, produced by Khadi and Village Industries Commission in the 1940s went for Rs 3.5 lakh while five postcards, including Kolkata's bathing ghat in Howrah and the clock tower of Mumbai, was snapped up for Rs 12 lakh, the second highest bid, and far exceeded its estimated price band of Rs 2.5 lakh-Rs 3.25 lakh. |

Though Osian's earlier auctions of Bollywood memorabilia had spawned a market for film posters, not all of them fetched handsome prices. |

Among the 10 lots that went under the hammer, two lithograph posters of the 1960 K Asif-directed romantic blockbuster Mughal-e Azam "" the unrequitted love story between commoner Anarkali (Madhubala) and prince Salim (Dilip Kumar) "" got bids worth Rs 51,750 and Rs 48,300. |

However, six posters of Amitabh Bachchan films like Muqaddar Ka Sikander and Khoon Pasina failed to reach the estimated Rs 50,000-75,000 price band. These were sold for Rs 46,000. |
