For your requirements, the Hyundai Getz will do just fine. It's a great car for the city, and can do the occasional highway run when needed. It's well packaged inside, so it's comfortable for three to four people too.  We would have recommended the Fusion as well, but it may be priced a little higher than the Getz, as and when it's launched. The Fusion also fits your needs well, but you do want to save up some money for six months later, don't you? As for the Swift, let Maruti launch it first. Don't wait. Buy now.  Low mileage  I have just sold my airconditioned Maruti 800, but have kept my Wagon R. I don't drive much, about 6,000 km a year, mainly in Baroda. I am happy with the Wagon R, but I would like to replace it with a different car now. Should I buy the Tata Indica diesel, the entry level Ford Ikon or the Maruti Esteem?

You need not go for the Indica diesel, as you don't drive much in a year. You can go for the Maruti Esteem, as you are comfortable with Maruti cars, and also the Esteem is reliable, fuel efficient and low on maintenance.
