Ducati India has launched the 959 Panigale superbike at Rs. 14.21 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
The motorcycle made its debut at the 2016 India Bike Week in February. The all-new superbike is available across all Ducati showrooms in Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Pune. The Italian-based manufacturer plans on inaugurating two more outlets by 2016-end.
The engine produces 157bhp, along with 107.4Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Ducati has adopted a 2-1-2 exhaust system for the 959 Panigale.
In terms of equipment, the 959 Panigale boasts of the latest Anti-lock braking System (ABS) from Bosch, an eight-level Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) and can be adjusted through three pre-programmed power modes, to change the model’s personality between Race, Sport and Wet modes. The 959 Panigale DQS electronic quick shift further enhances its competition feel with clean and fast gear changing.
The 959 Panigale shares the same stylistic features that characterise the 1299 Panigale, while its engine is designed for a more accessible, everyday riding experience that is equally thrilling on the race track.
The motorcycle also gets new split tailpiece design, the new high-penetration fairing with redesigned lateral air intakes, new rear view mirrors and the new aluminium billet-machined footrests for enhanced grip.
Currently, the Ducati 959 Panigale is available only in Ducati Red with Black wheels.
