Share of new trains: Tamil Nadu gets the lion's share

Railway ministers have traditionally tried to please their constituency or home state while announcing new trains. While Chandigarh, the railway minister Pawan Bansal's constituency, got a couple of trains, it is Tamil Nadu which got the lion's share of the new trains (20/67) that will originate or terminate in the state, followed by Maharashtra (17) and Rajasthan (14).
