How is it that EMRI managed to enter deals in 12 states without open bidding?
Every state came to us on their own. I cant dictate the process they follow. Raju gave 5 per cent of expenses and Satyam gave free software. Our idea is to save lives.

What was the expense on each ambulance and does that include the salaries to the management?
Our cost per trip was calculated as Rs 700 and if you make six trips daily covering 40 km, it works out to Rs 1.26 lakh a month. This takes care of salaries of the six ambulance staff, diesel and the call centre employees including doctors .Can it be cheaper? Our salaries come from the foundation.

Is it true that the clout of the people on your board helped you get all the contracts?
Tell me, if you have a heart attack would you call for a tender or go to the best doctor? It is the fastest service ever, thanks to the software support.

Police control room calls are being taken by your foundation. Is that right?
I only inform the police. I don’t usurp their role.
