Kingfisher will have 16 more aircraft back in operation next week. It has claimed the same in a report submitted to the DGCA on Tuesday. “It has also said there is no pilot shortage and has a strength of 510 pilots,” said a senior civil aviation ministry official. With 16 more planes back in fleet, the airline will have 44 aircraft. At present, it is operating with 28 aircraft.

The airline spokesperson did not respond to SMS and call made to him.

Kingfisher that entered the winter schedule with a permission to operate 418 flights with a fleet of 64 aircraft, grounded 20 aircraft in the same month. This grounding of fleet brought down its daily flight schedule to 250 flights. In February, it further cut its flight and brought it down to 175, with a fleet of 28 aircraft.
