Fifteen IT and ITeS companies, including Taray Technologies, Accenture, Value Labs and Nipuna, bagged the Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (Hysea) awards under 10 categories. |
Chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy presented the awards to the CEOs of these companies at Hysea's 15th annual awards function here on Thursday. |
Earlier, addressing a press conference, Anil Jampala, president of the association, said that the state's SME segment in IT sector, which was largely represented by Hysea, was looking forward to new policy initiatives from the Andhra Pradesh government to grow further. |
According to him, current incentives are not quite suited to the real needs of these companies. |
Special economic zones exclusively meant for SMEs are among the few new initiatives, which are likely to be announced in the forthcoming IT SME Policy of the state state government. |
He said that the current number of the association's members, 322, was likely to go up to between 500 and 600 by next year. The government's initial support will play a significant role in the survival of these smaller companies, he said. |
