More than 150 entrepreneurs participated in business guidance and mentoring camp at Ludhiana organised by Punjab Infotech in association with TiE Punjab & Chandigarh for MSMEs. The campaign aims to take mentoring – TiE’s key value proposition and core philosophy – to Tier 2 cities across India and help entrepreneurs realize their dreams and is a part of TiE’s Pan-India campaign called "Enterprising India – Changing the nation. Leading the World".
Besides Ludhiana it has also plans to organise similar camp at Jalandhar tomorrow. The Jalandhar Camp will be inaugurated by Punjab, Industries and Commerce Minister, Manoranjan Kalia.
Acknowledging Punjab to be the land of entrepreneurs, Satish Bagrodia, President, PHD Chamber said, "Because of high growth in population, land share shrinkage, shrinking employment opportunities in government sector, and for inclusive growth, young entrepreneurs have to be mentored in the right perspective." PHD Chamber tied up with Punjab Infotech and TIE to reach out to these young entrepreneurs who certainly need this kind of mentoring. PHD Chamber shall tie up with TIE to have more such mentoring sessions in other states as well.
R K Verma, MD, Punjab Infotech said that these two events would go a long way in an attempt to foster, nurture and enable the spirit of entrepreneurship and to create, build and sustain the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.
