A CBI special court, presided by Additional Sessions Judge O P Saini, today dismissed the interim bail plea to five telecom companies' officials after they appealed for an interim bail today.
The CBI court had today rejected their bail plea and were to be taken into custody. However, after the court's decision, all five officials had applied for an interim bail seeking protection from arrest for the next 7 days on the grounds of completing business responsibilities, which has now been turned down.
The court had reserved the bail plea applications on the April 15 and announced the judgement cancelling the bail applications of the 5 officials.
The five officials include Sanjay Chandra and Vinod Goenka who were to be taken into judicial custody have asked for an Interim bail for 7 days. The 3 officials from Reliance ADAG are Gautam Doshi, Hari Nair and Surendra Pipara.
All accused are now arrested and being taken to Tihar jail. The CBI court aslo said that they cannot rule out the agency apprenhensions that they may tamper with the evidences and influence the witnesses.
The shares of the telecom companies suffered heavily on the stock market post their bail plea rejection.
