7 Chemicals, an Ahmedabad-based exporter of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished formulations and chemicals, plans to double the business volume with its Canadian joint venture partner, SWISS Herbals, from the current $1.5 million to $ 3 million. |
The company had entered into a strategic marketing alliance with pharmaceutical company SWISS for its herbal medicinal product. |

Rakesh Ohri, managing director of 7 Chemicals, said, "There are more products in the pipeline and, therefore, we would double the deal amount to $3 million." |

The company would be supplying herbal medicinal products in bulk or in semi-finished form that would be further packed by SWISS. |

The products that will be supplied by the company are neem oil, cosmetic creams, creams for acne, psyllum husk as well as senna leaves for constipation and neem toothpaste. The company will adopt the same business model, which it has adopted for its JVs in Russia and CIS countries. |

Recently, 7 Chemicals also entered into an exclusive marketing tie-up with Canadian generics major Apotex to market its products in Russia and CIS countries. |

The company gets its products manufactured on loan licence in different locations in India, while the brands belong to the company. |

The company has marketing offices in Moscow, Georgia and Azerbaijan, Armenia, Chile, Philippines and South Africa and exports products to about 45 countries. |

It also manufactures a wide range of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and formulations like artemisinin albendazole, amlodipine besylate, ampicillin, azithromycin, alprazolam, cephalaosporins, as well as statins and enzymes, anti-diabetics, anti-cancer, anti-asthmatics, steroids etc. |
