Yash Nagpal, the 53- year old managing director of Navision Software India Pvt Ltd, loves challenges. It was this intrinsic desire to accept a new challenge which brought this UK-based NRI to India to set up Navision in October this year.
The company that specialises in providing end-to-end business solutions which include ERP, supply chain management, payroll etc was set up with an initial investment of $2 million. Nagpal intends to invest another $8 million in the company in the next year.
Navision India is the territorial representative of Navision Denmark. However, the parent company does not provide any financial support. It only provides technical support. The agreement is that once the Indian company becomes profitable, the Danish company will buy it.

I first interacted with Navision Denmark in 1994 when I was working with Tec UK, a part of the Toshiba Corporation of Japan. They were providing us with a business solution which would have taken care of all our problems. But Tec was not very keen and we did not buy the solution.
