Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure today said one of its promoters has pledged 3.72 crore shares, representing 16.35 per cent stake in the company, with lenders.
In a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Reliance Infrastructure said its promoter AAA Project Ventures has pledged 16.35 per cent stake amounting 3.72 crore shares.
Calculated on the basis of Friday's market price of Reliance Infrastructure, the pledged shares may have fetched an amount of Rs 2,119.92 crore to the promoter.
At the end of the December quarter, AAA Project Ventures held a 36.66 per cent stake out of 37.33 per cent stake held by the promoters group category in the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group firm.
Last week, Reliance Capital had said one of its promoters -- AAA Enterprises had pledged 4.03 per cent comprising 98.93 lakh shares in the firm. Two other ADAG firms -- Reliance Power and Reliance Natural Resources -- has said that none of its promoters have pledged any share.
Shares of Reliance Infra were trading at Rs 541.60, down 4.87 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
