Garments and fertilisers businesses drove up Aditya Birla Nuvo's net profits by 37 per cent to Rs 54.2 crore for the quarter ended March 2006 from Rs 39.5 crore in the same period last year. |
The Aditya Birla group company reported 55 per cent growth in revenues at Rs 752 crore from Rs 484.2 crore over the same period last year. Operating profit of the company, which also has interests in textiles, carbon black and telecom, jumped 77 per cent to Rs 123.3 crore from Rs 69.8 crore. |
For the full year ended March 2006, the company's net profits rose 56 per cent to Rs 176.9 crore from Rs 113.7 crore last year. Revenues were up 40 per cent to Rs 2,610 crore from Rs 1,860 crore. |
Aditya Birla Nuvo, which also announced a capex of Rs 642.1 crore for FY07, saw its consolidated annual revenues rise to Rs 4,759.4 crore and net profits to Rs 190.7 crore. |
Blue Dart net up 91% to Rs 18 cr |
Blue Dart Express posted 90.68 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 18.21 crore for the first quarter ended March 2006 against Rs 9.55 crore for the corresponding period last year. Income from operations grew 25.15 per cent to Rs 151.97 crore during the quarter. |

The total income of the company during the quarter increased by 31.83 per cent to Rs 168.87 crore from Rs 128.09 crore in the comparable quarter of 2004-05. |
The net profit of the company for the 12 months period ended March 31, 2006 was up by 6.01 per cent at Rs 67.30 crore as compared to Rs 63.48 crore of the previous year. The total income of the company during the financial year 2005-06 was up by 15.28 per cent at Rs 618.43 crore as against Rs 536.43 crore of the previous year. |
Ingersoll Rand net dips 23% |
Ingersoll Rand India has posted net profit of Rs 9.59 crore for the quarter ended March 2006, declining 22.59 per cent compared with Rs 12.39 crore reported in the previous corresponding quarter. Total income has increased 7.55 per cent to Rs 138.16 crore from Rs 128.46 crore. |
